Chapters are very well written and organized so that you can not only understand the frame of references but see how they can be applied in a clinical setting as well. I only wish they made a book like this geared for adult practice.

Just get this one instead of the Review Manual

I got both this book as well as the thicker FE mechanical review manual written by the same author. After doing the problems in here, I realized that this was a much better way of studying. In the review manual, the examples immediately follow whatever equation is associated with that subtopic, which makes solving problems easier. You won't have to do any flipping or searching because the relevant equations are right there.
However, on the exam you won't know which equations to use directly. You'll have to figure out on your own what section to look at in the FE reference manual. This practice problems book simulates that to an extent. You are given 5-10 problems for each generic topic, and you have to figure it out on your own without prior knowledge of which equations to use. Of course the solutions to each problem are in the book also, but you won't be able to see them until you turn the page.
So when you're studying, just use this book as the exam, and download the FE reference manual from the NCEES website for free. If you can get over half the questions correct, you'll pass the exam.

Purchased the review manual as well as the corresponding practice problems book. I completed each practice problem on my own using the review manual and the formula book provided by ncees.org as a reference and passed the FE Mechanical exam fairly easily. As a tip, definitely work with the formula book provided by ncees.org (the exam administrators) as it will be provided during the exam, having an understanding of where the different sections are within the formula book will help keep you within your time limit.

Great problems, great solutions. This was the only study material that I purchased, and I worked all the way through it in about a month. And then I passed the FE.

Do note that the solutions are very short. They are enough to steer you in the right direction if you are fairly fresh on the material, but you may wish for more explanation if its been a few years or more.

Replete with typographical errors

In some books, typos might be considered beauty marks; however, in technical philosophy papers, these are simply unforgivable. Reading that one can "fall to follow the rules" or "be quit sure" is a serious distraction, especially when spending long periods of time studying. After encountering several errors, I'm starting to question every line I read. What if I missed one and misunderstood a key point? Am I believing wrong information and doubting what's correct? I understand that OCR sometimes gets things wrong, but the price of this book should cover the simple proofreading required to discover that there are numerous mistakes--some single pages have more than one--and not leave these to the customer to sort out. Otherwise, the content selection is great and would have been recommended.

Horrible proofreading

This is a decent collection of long and short essays on Professional Ethics--a good source for an ethics class. Unfortunately, it is riddled with typographical errors, obviously from the scanning process. Sentences begin and end in mid-sentence, prepositions are mangled, wrong words have been chosen by the scanning software. Is this what we should expect from OUP at this point?

textbook or not?

This book is put together like a textbook for a college course, although it's hard to imagine a course that would cover all the things that are covered in this book. Yes, the individual articles in this book relate, in one way or another, to ethics in the professions. But the articles are all over the map in terms of ethical dilemmas and types of professions. Would a business class use this book? maybe. a class in law school? social work? it's hard to tell. the editors of this book put together a little something for everyone. if this book is used within the context of some profession's formal education, there's a lot here that may not be of any use to them. it's ideally suited for a class on precisely the topic in the title: ethics in the professions

Received this one free but I would have paid for it. Another great novel, a great twist on the historical gaps during this time period. Was surprised it was a stand alone however she did leave it open if she wanted to add another novel to this one.

Highly recommended historical fiction adventure.

I love all of K.T. Tomb books and this one didn't disappoint. Would like to see more in this series but as is this is a great standalone book. This book is about two kings battling it out for divine rights based on the Crusades.

Well written and a blast to read. Very entertaining with plenty of epic scenes and adventure. So fun getting lost in this book.

Highly recommended to any fan of K.T. Tomb or any fan of historical fiction, or action packed fast paced adventure books.

A short account of a long journey

This book had an interesting start and seemed to promise an exciting story as historical novel. It all too quickly turned into a fantasy adventure that brought the reader to the fulfillment of the quest and then ended without a real resolution of the conflict between the nation characters. For that reason it was a bit disappointing.
